ford factory order wait times 2023 Page 6

In 2023, Ford factory order wait times in Australia were less “next week” and more “circle a month or three on the calendar.”

Delays varied wildly by model and spec—high‑demand utes and SUVs (Ranger, Everest) tended to run longer, especially with popular packs, colours, and tow bits.

Build slots, shipping, and dealer allocations were the main bottlenecks, and your postcode plus option list could nudge the queue either way.

Best move: get written ETAs from multiple dealers, stay flexible on colours/options, and ask about in‑transit or pipeline cars—cancellations pop up more than you’d think.
