ford falcon models australia

The Ford Falcon was Australia’s homegrown large car hero until local production ended in 2016, and the family tree is gloriously sprawling.

Generations you’ll hear about include EA–EL, AU, BA/BF, and FG/FG X. Trims ran the gamut: sensible XT/Futura, luxo Fairmont/Ghia (later G6/G6E), and the cheeky XR6, XR6 Turbo, and XR8. For extra hot sauce there were FPV specials like the GT and F6. Body styles covered sedan, wagon (phased out after the BF era), and ute, all rear-drive with big-boot energy. In short: pick your generation, choose sedan/wagon/ute, then decide if you’re a smooth six or a shouty V8 person.
