ford falcon tow ball weight Page 4

Ah, the Ford Falcon—Australia's beloved ute turned sedan legend. When it comes to tow ball weight, it varies between models and years, but generally, you're looking at around 100 to 150 kg for the maximum vertical load on the tow ball. Too little and your trailer wobbles, too much and your Falcon's rear suspension cries for mercy. Always check your specific model's handbook for exact figures, because towing with the wrong weight is a recipe for disaster.

Keep in mind: heavier loads strain your vehicle's chassis and brakes. For the Falcon, a common tow capacity is around 1600 to 2500 kg gross trailer weight, depending on engine and setup, but tow ball weight is a different beast—just the downward force on the hitch.
