Short version: the Ford Mustang comes in two main flavours today — Fastback (coupe) and Convertible. Down under, that’s what you can actually buy new, both with two doors and four seats if your rear passengers are part-time contortionists.
Historically, the Mustang has also worn notchback “hardtop” and hatchback/fastback shapes, depending on the generation and market. If you’re browsing classifieds, you’ll see those older body styles pop up, but modern Aussie-delivered cars stick to Fastback and Convertible. Either way, it’s long bonnet, short boot, and more attitude than a magpie in nesting season.
