ford paint code checker Page 70

Hunting a Ford paint code without turning your weekend into a rainbow-themed saga? Start at the driver’s door jamb: the Safety Compliance/Vehicle ID label usually lists a paint code (2–4 characters) alongside build info.

On older models, check the compliance plate in the engine bay, and have a peek in the service/owner’s book where dealers often note trim and colour.

Once you’ve got the code, run it through a Ford paint code checker or a reputable chart; a dealer can confirm via VIN if you’re still second-guessing “which white.”

Beware resprays: panels may not match the sticker, so verify in daylight before buying paint. There—mystery solved and no mismatched bumper to haunt you.
