ford sync 2 update australia Page 105

Yes, you can update Ford SYNC 2 in Australia, but temper expectations—it’s clever for its age, not a smartphone on wheels. The last widely available system update is often v3.10 (ANZ), installable via USB; dealers can load it if you don’t fancy playing IT support. Navigation map updates for AU/NZ exist for SYNC 2 but are now legacy; expect limited availability and typical costs around $100–$200 if you find a current supplier. SYNC 2 doesn’t support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto—retrofitting SYNC 3 does, but you’re looking at roughly $1,000–$2,000+ in parts plus fitting. Pro tips: use a FAT32 USB, keep the car on a charger, confirm the unit is set to the ANZ region, and do a master reset after. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
