ford sync 3 apps australia Page 7

In Australia, the smartest way to use SYNC 3 “apps” is via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto—that’s how you get Spotify, Maps/Waze, podcasts and messages working cleanly.

Ford’s native AppLink still exists, but third‑party support has thinned, so compatible titles are limited and often region‑dependent.

Features like Ford+Alexa aren’t offered here, while navigation and audio are best handled through your phone anyway.

Update SYNC 3 to the latest build (ideally v3.4), use a high‑quality USB cable, and enable Siri/Google Assistant for the least sweary experience.

If an app doesn’t show up, check its permissions, Australia store region, and whether the developer even supports in‑car projection anymore.

Short version: let the phone do the heavy lifting; SYNC 3 just hosts the party and tries not to spill the cordial.
