ford territory 2010 problems Page 2

The 2010 Ford Territory can be a trusty Aussie workhorse, but some bits age like milk in the sun. Here’s what owners commonly battle:

• Rear differential bush wear causing clunks and thumps on take-off.
• Front lower control arm bushes and ball joints wearing out, bringing steering shimmy and inner tyre wear.
• Brake shudder from warped front rotors; cured with quality rotors and pads.
• Door lock actuators and tailgate wiring gremlins knocking out central locking or the boot.
• Power steering hose/reservoir leaks and pump whine—look for fluid stains and low levels.
• Ignition coil pack misfires (rough idle, hesitation), especially on higher-km cars.

Get a thorough pre-purchase inspection and budget for fresh bushes, brakes and fluids—your ears and wallet will thank you.
