ford territory 2015 problems Page 2

The 2015 Ford Territory (SZ MkII) is a tough Aussie family bus, but it’s not bulletproof—more “sturdy boots with a few squeaks.”

Common issues owners report include:

• Front lower control arm and rear diff bushes wearing, causing clunks and vague steering.
• Brake shudder/warped front rotors, especially on heavier towing or city stop‑start use.
• Door lock actuators and window regulators failing, plus the occasional tailgate wiring gremlin.
• Diesel 2.7: EGR/intake carbon build‑up and split intercooler hoses; stay on top of timing belt intervals.
• ZF 6‑speed neglected servicing leading to rough shifts; tailshaft centre bearing and wheel bearings can hum with age.

Buy on condition and service history, and you’ll dodge most of the drama.
