The Ford Territory Titanium (mainly the SZ 2011–2016) is a comfy workhorse, but a few gremlins like to hitch a ride.

• Rear differential bushes tearing and clunks; plus front control arm bushes/ball joints getting tired.
• Brake shudder from front discs, and occasional wheel bearing or CV grumbles on AWDs.
• Door lock actuators, window regs, and A/C blend-door actuators failing or clicking.
• Infotainment/ICC glitches (freezes, dead screens) and tired backup cameras.
• Diesel 2.7 TDCi: EGR/soot build-up, split turbo hoses, oil leaks; timing belt due at interval.
• Petrol 4.0 I6: coil packs, rocker cover and coolant leaks (thermostat housing), and appetite for engine mounts.

None of that is terminal, but it all adds up if neglected; a pre‑purchase inspection and a service history thicker than a phone book are your best friends.

Budget for fresh bushes, discs, and a diesel timing belt if they’re due, and you’ll have a family bus that shrugs off the school run like it was born for it.
