forester vs x trail Page 7

Forester vs X-Trail is the family-SUV equivalent of flat white vs latte—both good, depends how frothy you like it. Here’s the short, no-bickering version:

• Forester pros: Standard AWD across the range, superb visibility, comfy ride, and light off-road chops thanks to X-Mode.
• Forester cons: Only a 2.5L non-turbo with a CVT, modest towing on most trims, and cabin tech that’s sensible rather than flashy.
• X-Trail pros: More modern interior and tech, optional e‑Power hybrid with e‑4ORCE AWD, and available 7-seat layout on some petrol variants.
• X-Trail cons: Third row is kid-sized, some variants are FWD, and pricing/option packs can climb faster than your weekend plans.

Test both: Forester feels outdoorsy and planted; X-Trail feels polished and tech-forward—your driveway will tell you which one it prefers.
