formula 1 testing 2024 Page 38

Formula 1 pre-season testing for 2024 ran at Bahrain International Circuit from 21–23 February—three brisk days to wake the cars and rattle the rivets.

Each team ran only one car at a time, usually splitting morning and afternoon sessions, so mileage and reliability mattered far more than headline laps.

Expect aero rakes, flow-vis paint, and long runs that tell engineers plenty while fans pretend the stopwatch is gospel.

Times are a party trick; the real reads are consistency, tyre behaviour across the C1–C5 range, and whether radios sound calm rather than code-brown.
