fuel stops on hume highway Page 9

Short version: you won’t be stranded—the Hume between Sydney and Melbourne is dotted with fuel, but plan your stops like an adult.

Major towns and service centres include Pheasants Nest, Sutton Forest, Marulan, Goulburn, Yass, Gundagai, Tarcutta, Holbrook, Albury–Wodonga, Wangaratta, Benalla, Euroa, Seymour and Wallan/Beveridge—roughly every 50–100 km.

Many sites are 24/7 with food and loos, but hours and brands shift, so check a live map before late-night or holiday runs.

Top tip: don’t gamble on fumes over long stretches; fill up early, stretch the legs, and keep the snacks within arm’s reach.
