gen 3 camaro supercars Page 9

The Gen3 Camaro in Supercars arrived for 2023, retiring the Commodore badge and squaring off against the Ford Mustang. It’s a silhouette racer on a new control chassis, still thunderously V8 and rear‑drive, but with simpler aero, less downforce and a tighter cost cap to spice up the racing. The body looks more like the road-going Camaro, while the move to 18-inch wheels and pared-back wings makes it a bit more muscly-car, less fighter jet. Power is tightly controlled and parity-policed, so the show is in set‑up and bravery, not who brought the biggest cheque book. In short: loud, quick, closer racing—and yes, built to be bashed door-to-door without bursting into tears.
