You must be at least 16, bring ID, pass an eyesight check and the computerised theory test, then pay the fee to get your Learner’s Permit and slap those Ls on.
Log at least 50 hours of supervised driving (including 5 at night) and, after a minimum six months, book the Hazard Perception Test; at 17 you can sit the Practical Driving Assessment.
While on Ls you need a fully licensed supervisor in the passenger seat, zero alcohol, and you must obey posted speed limits like your insurance depends on it—because it does.
