Chasing a WA learner’s permit? Here’s the short version before your L-plate selfies clog the family chat.

You must be at least 16, bring ID, pass an eyesight check and the computerised theory test, then pay the fee to get your Learner’s Permit and slap those Ls on.

Log at least 50 hours of supervised driving (including 5 at night) and, after a minimum six months, book the Hazard Perception Test; at 17 you can sit the Practical Driving Assessment.
