Getting your learners in QLD is less “mystery quest” and more “tick the boxes, mate.”
Be at least 16, prove your identity, pass an eyesight check, pay the fee, and complete PrepL (the online road rules course) or the written knowledge test at a TMR counter.
Once you pass, you’ll get your learner licence—stick big L plates on, drive with a supervisor who holds an open licence, keep your BAC at 0.00, and obey the posted limits.
If you’re under 25, log 100 hours including 10 at night in the QLD logbook app or paper book; 25 and over are exempt from the hours.
When you’re ready, book the practical driving test to step up to your P1—easy as snag on bread, without the sauce disaster.
