Chasing your P-plates in South Australia? Start by holding a Learner’s Permit, logging your supervised driving hours, and completing either a VORT driving test or the CBT&A pathway with an accredited instructor.

When you’ve ticked the boxes and passed the Hazard Perception Test, you’ll move onto P1, where it’s zero BAC, P plates on display, and a firm ban on phone use—yes, even hands‑free.

Keep your nose clean, clock the required time, then graduate to P2 with fewer handbrakes on your driving freedom.

Rules can change, so double-check the latest from the SA Government before you rock up with confidence and a fresh air freshener.
