Giotto Bizzarrini was the Italian engineer who helped create the Ferrari 250 GTO, then lent his genius to Lamborghini’s first V12 before striking out on his own. After the 1961 Ferrari walkout, he worked on the Iso Grifo A3/C and later built the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada—low, loud, and gloriously rebellious. He was not just a slide-rule wizard; he was a fearless test driver who shook cars down at the limit. His fingerprints are all over 1960s supercar DNA, and the Bizzarrini name has seen modern revival in small numbers. A proper legend whose homework the rest of the class still copies.
