“Gold Coast V8s 2023” was the Supercars Championship’s beachside street fight, the Gold Coast 500 on the Surfers Paradise circuit. New Gen3 machinery—Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang—bounced off the kerbs and occasionally the concrete, as tradition demands. It’s a fast, bumpy blast with chicanes that love to rearrange splitters and egos in equal measure. Crowds get sun, noise and the occasional seagull with trust issues; teams get precious points before the run to season’s end. If you wanted subtlety, you picked the wrong postcode.
