great wall vs ldv Page 93

Shopping value utes and SUVs? It’s Great Wall (GWM) vs LDV—the two budget bruisers keen to tow your trailer and your wallet a little further.

Great Wall (GWM) pros: sharp pricing, generous warranty, 5‑star ANCAP for the GWM Ute (2021), comfy cabins; cons: diesel is more adequate than urgent, ride can get jittery unladen, resale still finding its feet.

LDV pros: strong value, T60 Max boasts stout outputs (up to around 160 kW/500 Nm) and solid towing, broad dealer coverage; cons: cabin refinement and NVH can trail rivals, some variants rely on older safety tunes, ride/handling vary by spec.

Both pile on kit per dollar and do the job, but test drive with a load, check servicing schedules and warranty fine print, and confirm the exact ANCAP rating for the year and variant you’re eyeing.
