green p rules qld Page 3

Ah, the elusive Green P plates in Queensland—sometimes the bane of new drivers, sometimes just a badge of honour. Green Ps signify a provisional driver who’s passed their learner's test but is still under restrictions until they upgrade to a full licence. Key rules include a maximum speed limit of 90 km/h, a zero blood alcohol limit, and restrictions on the number of passengers under 21 during certain hours. Also, after 11 pm, you're not allowed to carry more than one passenger under 21 unless they're immediate family, so no wild midnight joyrides with mates.

Breaking these rules can lead to fines, demerit points, or worse—so keep it legal and keep it green. For the nitty-gritty, check the Queensland Department of Transport or ServiceCentral to stay sharp.
