The Grenadia, often mistaken for a car, is actually the Land Rover Defender 110 in its original, rugged incarnation. It is a classic British 4x4 famed for its body-on-frame construction, 4WD capabilities, and a variety of engine options including 2.5L diesel and 3.5L V8 petrol. You can find used models in Australia ranging from about $25,000 up to $60,000 AUD, depending on condition and modifications. New models, if you stumble upon them, would be prohibitively rare and expensive, as this beast was discontinued decades ago. Known for its off-road prowess but infamous for a rough on-road ride and questionable reliability, it's a love-it-or-hate-it kind of vehicle. If you’re after a vintage 4x4 with character, check listings on Tradingpost or CarShowroom, but don’t expect modern comforts.
