gt racing

Ah, GT racing—the playground for the automotive elite and the perfect excuse to hear engines roar louder than your neighbour's lawnmower at 7am.

Grand Tourer (GT) racing features production-based sports cars, beefed up to the nines for track antics. Expect machines like the Porsche 911 GT3, Ferrari 488 GT3, and Aston Martin Vantage GT3 duking it out.

Key specs usually include:

• Power: Around 500-600 horsepower
• Weight: Approximately 1,200-1,300 kg
• Modifications: Racing suspension, aerodynamic tweaks, and stripped interiors

GT racing is as much about driver skill as it is about engineering wizardry—think endurance races like the Bathurst 12 Hour here in Australia.
