gwm vs ldv vs ssangyong Page 9

Cross-shopping GWM, LDV and SsangYong? Welcome to the land of big value and fewer bragging rights at the school drop-off. GWM: Pros: sharp pricing, generous equipment, improving safety tech; Cons: ride and cabin refinement can feel a step behind, and resale is still warming up. LDV: Pros: workhorse practicality and keen drive-away deals; Cons: interior finish and driver-assist tech often lag the class, and NVH can be coarse. SsangYong: Pros: tough mechanicals and honest pricing with long coverage; Cons: smaller dealer network and infotainment that’s more functional than flashy. Service coverage, warranty terms and ANCAP ratings vary by model and year, so confirm the exact vehicle you’re eyeing. Test-drive them back-to-back on the same route (and with a load if you’ll tow); your ears, spine and wallet will deliver the verdict.
