hilux fuel gauge recall Page 5

Ah, the Hilux fuel gauge recall saga—because apparently, knowing how much fuel you've got left is a luxury some drivers can't afford without a recall notice. Toyota has, on occasion, issued recalls related to faulty fuel gauges or fuel sending units in the Hilux to prevent erroneous readings that could leave you stranded or worse. If you're worried, check with your local Toyota dealer or ServiceCentral for recall status by your vehicle's VIN. Common issues include:

• Inaccurate fuel level readings
• Sudden drops to empty
• Potential stalling due to fuel mismanagement

Keep an eye out on Tradingpost and CarShowroom for affected models when buying used. Better safe than stuck on the side of the road, mate.
