holden captiva 2014 review Page 5

The 2014 Holden Captiva promises seven-seat family value, then immediately reminds you why bargains wear caution tape.

Space is decent and the features list looks generous, but the ride is lumpy, the steering vague, and fuel economy shy of its brochure bravado.

More worrying are long-standing reliability grumbles—think transmission dramas, electrical niggles, and cooling system leaks—so a watertight service history is non-negotiable.

If you must, hunt the tidiest low‑km example, budget for preventative maintenance, and cross-shop a used CX-5, RAV4, or Outlander for a calmer life.
