holden captiva service cost Page 7

A Holden Captiva will happily consume servicing cash if you let it, but it doesn’t have to be daylight robbery.

In Australia, expect a minor service at an independent to land around AUD 250–400, with majors roughly AUD 500–900 depending on fluids, plugs and filters.

Transmission services are commonly AUD 300–450, brake pads/rotors AUD 500–800, and cooling or belt/chain jobs can push four figures if neglected.

Budget around AUD 700–1,200 per year for average kilometres, more if it’s an older, high‑km diesel or V6 that’s overdue on maintenance.

Use the correct spec oil/coolant, replace wear items before they snowball, and consider a Holden/GM specialist rather than a big-name dealer.
