holden colorado 7 review Page 3

The Holden Colorado 7, a.k.a. the Chevrolet Trailblazer in other markets, is Australia's attempt at a rugged family SUV with a ute backbone. It boasts a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine producing around 147 kW and 500 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The interior is spacious with seating for seven, but it’s more utilitarian than luxurious. Ride comfort is decent off-road, though on-road dynamics can feel a bit truck-like, which might not please city slickers. Safety gear is respectable for its time, including multiple airbags and stability control. New models were priced around AUD 50,000 to 60,000; used examples can be found on Tradingpost or CarShowroom for considerably less. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want a family SUV that can double as a workhorse, but don’t expect posh German refinement.
