Holden’s back catalogue is longer than a Bunnings snag queue, and just as satisfying. The hits: Commodore (plus Calais/Berlina), Monaro, Torana, Kingswood, Statesman/Caprice, Ute, and Adventra for the “wagon but make it 4WD” crowd. The small-to-medium mob: Astra, Barina, Cruze, Viva, Nova and Apollo (yes, some were rebadged Toyotas), plus the ‘90s-cool Calibra. The SUV and ute brigade: Captiva, Trax, Equinox, Acadia, Rodeo/Colorado, Jackaroo and Frontera. Local manufacturing wrapped in 2017 and the brand bowed out in 2020, but you’ll still find plenty of survivors on Tradingpost if nostalgia comes knocking.
