Headline news: Holden hasn’t built or sold new cars in Australia since 2020, so don’t hold your breath for a surprise comeback.

The brand lives on via servicing, parts, and warranty support, while GM Specialty Vehicles handles the noisy stuff like Silverado utes and Corvette coupes.

Most “Holden news” these days is heritage-flavoured—auctions, anniversaries, Bathurst nostalgia, and collectors paying brave money for tidy HSVs.

If you need a modern stand-in for the lion badge, look to Walkinshaw-tuned offerings and GMSV, but the Aussie icon itself is now museum-piece material.
