holden ute news Page 12

Short version: there is no new Holden ute news—local manufacturing ended in 2017 and the Holden brand bowed out in 2020.

These days the headlines are about values and nostalgia: VF SS‑V Redlines and HSV Maloo utes keep attracting collectors, with clean manuals fetching strong money.

GM still backs parts and servicing through its network, so keeping one alive is more “spanner time” than “archaeology.”

If you want fresh ute news, it’s really about replacements: Ranger, HiLux, and the big American conversions (Ram, Silverado) filling the hole Holden left.

So celebrate the legend, keep the V8 burble polished, and watch the auction results for a bit of theatre between the meat raffles.
