In Australia circa 2023, Honda’s SUV line-up is a neat three-piece: HR-V (small), the new ZR-V (small-to-medium), and the CR-V (medium, sometimes 7 seats).

HR-V pairs a thrifty 1.5 petrol with an available e:HEV hybrid; ZR-V brings a perkier 1.5‑litre turbo or the e:HEV hybrid in top trim.

CR-V sticks with a 1.5‑litre turbo, front- or all-wheel drive, and optional third row; no diesel, no V6, just sensible shoes and lots of safety tech.

Honda Australia runs a fixed-price model, so the haggling is mostly off the menu—comforting for some, heartbreaking for your “I’ve got a mate in sales” friend.
