hoon driving victoria Page 6

Victoria treats hoon driving like a seagull treats chips—swift, relentless, and absolutely no mercy.

Street racing, burnouts, donuts and extreme speeding fall under the “hoon” banner.

Police can seize, impound or immobilise your car on the spot, typically for around 30 days on a first offence, with longer terms and even permanent forfeiture for repeat offenders.

Expect hefty fines, demerit points and licence suspension or disqualification if the court gets involved.

If you’re caught, towing and storage costs are on you—extra sting for those smoky tyres.

Better plan: book a track day, keep the antics off public roads, and arrive home without a court date.
