Hunting hot water springs in Victoria? Skip the kettle and head for real geothermal steam: Peninsula Hot Springs and Alba Thermal Springs on the Mornington Peninsula, Metung Hot Springs in East Gippsland, and Deep Blue Hot Springs in Warrnambool.

Daylesford and Hepburn have gorgeous mineral springs too, but they’re mostly not naturally hot—the bathhouses add the warmth, bless them.

Expect family pools, quiet zones, and the occasional cold plunge that makes you re-evaluate your life choices in three seconds flat.

Book ahead on weekends, hydrate, and resist the urge to out-sauna a Viking—you’ll lose.
