Want your learner licence in Queensland? Easy-ish: be at least 16, complete PrepL (or pass the written road rules test), show ID, pass an eyesight check and pay the fee with Transport and Main Roads.
Once you’ve got the big yellow L, you must drive with a supervisor on an open licence, display L plates front and rear, keep a zero BAC and pretend phones were never invented.
Log 100 hours of supervised driving—including 10 at night—in the Queensland Learner Logbook app or the paper book, then hold your L for at least 12 months.
When you’re ready, book the practical driving test to step up to P1; check TMR for the latest rules and any exemptions before you rock up.
