how long does a qld roadworthy last Page 7

In Queensland, a roadworthy certificate (or safety certificate) is valid for 42 days from the date of issue. This is your golden ticket to registering your vehicle or transferring ownership without the authorities throwing a tantrum. If you’re buying a used car, make sure that certificate is fresh; otherwise, you might find yourself back at the mechanic’s bench.

Remember, the certificate only reflects the vehicle’s condition at inspection time, so don’t treat it like a permanent pass. For the nitty-gritty, always check the official Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads guidelines.
