how long does paypal take to transfer money Page 428

PayPal moves money at two speeds: “now-ish” and “hurry up and wait.”

Instant Transfer to an eligible card or account usually lands in minutes (sometimes up to an hour) for a small fee.

Standard transfer to your Australian bank takes about 1–3 business days, slower over weekends and public holidays because banks love a nap.

If it’s an eCheque or the payment’s on hold, expect 3–6 business days or up to 21 days while PayPal plays hall monitor.

Names and account details must match, and new accounts or high-risk payments can add a pause.

If it drags beyond that, check your bank’s processing times and PayPal’s Resolution Centre before shaking your fist at the cloud.
