how long learners licence Page 132

In Australia, a learner’s licence is issued by your state or territory, and how long it lasts depends on where you live. Most places give you a multi‑year permit with the option to renew, plus a required minimum holding period before you can graduate to P‑plates. You’ll also need supervised driving, hazard/perception testing, and a practical drive — the exact recipe varies by jurisdiction. Best move: check your local transport authority’s rules and set a reminder before expiry. It’s less one‑size‑fits‑all, more choose‑your‑own‑adventure (with L‑plates and fewer dragons).
