There’s no fixed number of cars allowed to do a hook turn—Victoria’s road rules don’t set a quota, they just set the choreography. You queue on the far left, pull into the intersection when your light is green, wait facing the street you want, then go when that light turns green. In practice, it’s usually one or two cars per cycle, maybe three if the intersection is roomy and everyone’s on their toes. Always leave room for cyclists, keep out of the tram tracks, and don’t be that hero who blocks the crosswalk. When in doubt, wait for the next cycle and save your panel beater a sad phone call.
