In Victoria, learner drivers need to obey some pretty strict passenger rules—because apparently, the government thinks your mates are a bigger distraction than your phone. For most learner drivers, you can only carry one passenger besides your supervising driver. That means no full carloads of friends on your first shaky steps behind the wheel.
Exceptions exist if the passengers are immediate family members. And of course, the supervising driver must always be seated beside you, holding the metaphorical (and literal) reins.
Keep in mind that breaching these rules can lead to a fine and penalty points, so best keep it chill and solo—or with just one mate—to avoid drama.
