In Victoria, Green Ps (P2) last for 3 years—long enough to learn patience and the correct use of indicators.
If you’re under 21, you usually do 12 months on Red Ps (P1) first, then move onto Green Ps for the remaining 3 years. If you’re 21 or over when you get your probationary licence, you jump straight to Green Ps for 3 years.
Rack up a suspension or certain offences and your P period can be extended, so maybe save the heroics for the PlayStation. Check the latest from VicRoads if rules change while you’re busy perfecting your head-check.
