how much do tesla cars cost Page 2

Short answer: less than a beach house in Byron, more than a busted Corolla. In Australia, new Teslas typically run at about Model 3 from roughly $62k–$80k drive‑away (variant and state taxes matter) and Model Y from roughly $68k–$90k drive‑away.

Used prices are friendlier: Model 3 often $30k–$60k depending on age, km and battery health, while Model Y tends to sit around $45k–$75k. Model S and Model X aren’t sold new here anymore, but used examples float from about $60k into six figures if they’re fancy and low‑km.

On‑road costs vary by state, and EV incentives can trim a neat chunk if you play your cards right. Kick tyres on Tradingpost or your favourite classifieds, then act smug at the bowser.
