how much does a roadworthy cost victoria Page 5

Ah, the elusive roadworthy certificate in Victoria—your golden ticket to selling a car or transferring registration. Expect to shell out between $100 to $200 AUD depending on the vehicle type and inspection station. Newer, simpler cars tend to be cheaper; older or modified vehicles might attract a heftier fee. This inspection covers safety essentials like brakes, tyres, lights, and suspension, ensuring your ride isn’t a rolling hazard. For used car buyers and sellers, this cost is often a necessary evil, and places like ServiceCentral or Tradingpost can help you locate certified testers. Keep in mind, if your car fails, repairs will add to the expense. So, budget accordingly and don’t be caught off guard!
