how much does it cost to lay hybrid flooring Page 3

Across Australia, labour to lay hybrid flooring typically runs about $25–$50 per m², with supply adding roughly $30–$70 per m².

So a straightforward, ground-floor job lands around $60–$120 per m² installed, assuming your subfloor isn’t auditioning for a rollercoaster.

Extras stack up fast: old floor removal $10–$30 per m², floor prep/levelling $20–$40 per m², trims and transitions $10–$20 per metre, and stairs can be $60–$100 per step.

Small jobs often attract a minimum call‑out of $300–$600, and regional vs metro or premium brands will nudge the total.

Get itemised quotes, allow 5–10% for wastage, and confirm whether underlay is included (many hybrids have it attached, some don’t).

If someone quotes far below that, ask what’s missing; if far above, you’re either getting artisanal floorboards or paying for their new ute.
