how much weight can a ute tray carry Page 6

Ah, the classic ute tray capacity conundrum — it really depends on the make and model, but generally, you're looking at a max payload ranging from 700 kg to 1,200 kg for most popular Australian utes. Remember, the tray itself isn't the sole limiting factor; the vehicle's suspension, chassis, and legal limits all play a starring role. Overloading not only risks a visit from the local traffic cop but also can turn your ute into a rolling disaster.

Check official vehicle specs, usually found in your owner's manual or on the compliance plate, for the exact payload. And if you're shopping around, sites like Tradingpost and CarShowroom often list payload capacities in the specs section.
