how to fake odometer in logbook Page 9

Short answer: don’t. Tampering with an odometer or falsifying a logbook is illegal in Australia and can land you with hefty fines, criminal charges, and insurance or warranty headaches big enough to tow a caravan.

If your records are wrong or missing, the honest fix is to correct the error with your mechanic, keep service invoices, and speak to your state transport authority about proper documentation.

Buyers and future you will thank you—because nothing tanks resale faster than a whiff of odometer funny business.

Do the right thing and record the real kilometres; it’s cheaper, easier, and infinitely less… courtroom-y.
