how to get a roadworthy certificate qld Page 4

Getting a roadworthy certificate in Queensland is a bit like proving your car isn’t a rolling death trap. First, you need to book an inspection with an authorised inspection station—these blokes know their stuff. The vehicle undergoes a thorough check ensuring all safety-critical components like brakes, steering, lights, and tyres meet the magic standard. If it passes, you’ll get the certificate, which is essential for registration transfers or selling a car. Costs can range from around $40 to $100 AUD, depending on the station. If your vehicle fails, you'll have to fix the issues and get re-inspected. For official details, the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads website is your gospel.
