Park on level ground, read both manuals (car and seat), and find the ISOFIX anchor points—usually where the seat base meets the backrest.
Click the two ISOFIX connectors into the anchors until the indicators show locked, then push the seat back and tighten so it barely budges.
Attach the top tether to the correct anchor (required in Australia), route it exactly as shown, and tension it firmly.
Set the recline angle for your child’s size; rear‑face as long as the seat allows because physics is on your side.
Adjust the harness to shoulder height, tighten until you can’t pinch the webbing, and aim for less than about 2 cm of movement at the belt path.
Never use ISOFIX and a seatbelt together unless the seat specifically allows it, and always follow the seat’s stated limits and your vehicle guide.
