For side-to-side, drive the low side up onto levelling ramps—on a dual-axle that usually means ramps under both tyres on the low side—then chock again. Unhitch, then use the jockey wheel to level front-to-back; corner steadies go down last for stabilising only, never for lifting. Pop a small spirit level (or phone app) on the floor near the axle line, fine-tune, and add pads under the steadies if the ground’s soft. Before you call it level, recheck the handbrake and chocks, and don’t twist the chassis with mismatched ramp heights—keep it even and you’ll sleep like a smug tradie.
